Affiliated Membership (AFSC) is the highest honor that the Institute of The Brothers of the Christian Schools can offer an individual.

After a brief hiatus due to COVID-19, this year we welcomed:

Rev. Frank Berna, AFSC

For more than 25  years, Fr. Frank has served La Salle University as director of graduate religion, campus minister, teacher, and more. In addition, he has provided sacramental nourishment to the Brothers from all of the Philadelphia Communities, as well as at many District functions.

Mr. James Casey, AFSC

Not only was Jim the leading voice in saving the historic stained-glass windows which now adorn the Manhattan College Chapel, he also maintains a regular e-blast that keeps more than 100 former Brothers from the 50s and 60s in touch with each other and with the Brothers.

Rev. John Andrew Connell, AFSC

For decades, Fr. John Andrew has been available to the Brothers to celebrate Masses and funerals, and lead retreats from NJ to RI. Since 2013, he has been a chaplain at De La Salle Hall, offering countless hours of service to our elder & infirm Brothers.

Mr. Robert Conway, AFSC

Since his youth as a resident of La Salle School in Albany NY, Robert has continued to grow in Lasallian Charism. For the past forty years this has been as member (and past chair) of both the Board of Trustees and the Foundation Board, as well as through all levels of Lasallian formation.
