On Friday, May 1, 2020, we celebrated Religious Brothers Day, a day of global recognition throughout the Church of consecrated laymen in service to God. Our De La Salle Brothers were honored in so many ways, especially via social media (selections below) by Lasallian students, colleagues, and friends. The Brothers truly appreciate all of the Lasallian love!!
In addition to a day of recognition, the District’s Vocation team hosted a Zoom gathering where six young Brothers shared the story of their vocation journeys discerning the life of a Christian Brother. An open invitation, 27 men joined the Zoom gathering to listen and reflect, ask questions, and be together and in association with the Brothers! Another 25 men, while unable to attend, reached out to the Vocation Team to send well wishes, and expressed interest in being further conversation in the future. The life of a Christian Brother is a viable one, that young men are interested in exploring!
Happy Religious Brothers Day to our more that 240 Brothers in DENA, and to all the Brothers throughout RELAN, and the global Institute!
Liam! Spot on with Br. Bill, he’s always a happy guy. And while we know he misses being with all of you, your message definitely brings him some happiness! Thanks. https://t.co/ko3EYj1T0h

Any where Br. James has served it has always been important to him to be present to his students. Thanks for letting him know you and the @lschs men appreciate it, we bet he’s smiling pretty big right now because you reached out, Dan! https://t.co/VtPrcsCrzL

This is what the Brother’s life is about! As Brothers, we don’t always know if we touch the hearts of our students, but we’re always trying. Thank you so much, Taj, for sharing this story and giving a shout out to Br. Raymond! https://t.co/3dwrrEnZkf
